2013-2023
Long live ABRAPAV!
On August 27, the Brazilian Association of Aviation Psychology (ABRAPAV) celebrates its 10th anniversary. A decade of dedication and commitment to psychology applied to aviation.
Our association was born in 2013, the result of the initiative of a group of psychologists who realized the need to create an entity that would bring together and represent psychologists who contribute to aviation safety and to the health and quality of life of all professionals working in the sector.
Since then, we have carried out various activities, such as courses, lectures, congresses and publications, aimed at the scientific and professional development of aviation psychology in the country.
We play an important role in defending the interests and valuing aviation psychologists, as well as promoting ethics and social responsibility. In this sense, ABRAPAV maintains partnerships with national and international institutions, such as the Forum of National Entities of Brazilian Psychology (FENPB), the Latin American Union of Aviation Psychology Associations (ULAPA) and the European Association for Aviation Psychology (EAAP), seeking to exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices among psychologists in the sector.
At this time of celebration, we would like to thank all our members, partners, collaborators and friends who are part of this success story and who helped make the dream of 2013 a reality.
We invite all psychologists who work in or are interested in aviation to join the association, to further strengthen this network of professionals who make a difference in Brazilian aviation.
ABRAPAV aims to be identified as a reference entity in Brazil for Psychology applied to the aeronautical environment, seeking to integrate and contribute to the training of psychologists who work or are willing to work in this context; and, furthermore, to promote the strengthening of air transport safety and the promotion of human health and well-being.

This book, second volume of texts focused on Psychology and Aviation, is the result of a long work and fight of psychologists who have been developing their activities in the field of Aviation. When we say fight, it is to justify that in the Brazilian aeronautical and psychological scenario, there is still a need to recognize Psychology and psychologists as active and important professionals in the context of operational safety of air activities.
